套筒式气弹簧有一根直径较大的活塞杆,活塞上开有一个节流小孔,使活塞左右两腔相通,其工作原理是:当套筒内腔充入有压力的气体后,因活塞上有一节流小孔,使活塞左右两腔压力相等,可见该套筒内的活塞是按差动原理工作的。由于有一根直径较大的活塞杆,使活塞右腔的受力大干左腔的受力,因而在活塞上作用着一个复位力,活塞在此复位力的推动下,将移动到左端位置。当用手力加大载荷时,可克服活塞的复位力,使活塞缓慢移动到右端位置,这时可用机械机构将负载锁紧,当打开锁紧机构后,复位力则克服负载,使负载在括塞复位力的推动下,自动复位回到开始位置。
套筒式气弹簧具有以下一些特点:
(1)对于同一内径的套筒式气弹簧,当内腔充气压力增大时,复位力随着压力的增大而增大,这使得同一种套筒式气弹簧,可以适应多种负载的要求。
(2)活塞上开有节流小孔,当空气流过节流小孔时,由于气阻而吸收一部分振动能量,从而起到了减振阻尼作用。
(3)与钢弹簧相比,在承受激烈振动载荷时,套筒式气弹簧的寿命较长,在同样行程条件下,套筒式气弹簧的长度较短。
(4)结构简单、新颖,零件较少,制造方便,成本下降。
